Veteran musician Daniel Kazibwe a.k.a Ragga Dee has implored creatives and artists who are not registered with the Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS) body to do so as soon as possible.

Ragga Dee, who is the chairman of the National Cultural Forum (NCF), the apex body that heads all creatives in the land stresses that their main role is to lobby and implement advocacy for the arts and creative industry to move on smoothly.

In doing so, he called upon all artists in Uganda from different regions to ensure that they register with UPRS adding that if they don’t get registered, they will be singing for nothing.

He went on to call upon all artists to register with UPRS so that they would enjoy the benefits that come with being a musician as they are in the process of streamlining all that had gone out of hand in the creative industry.

He made the request stating that it is important that when an artist is registered with UPRS, it is easy for one’s loyalties to be collected and distributed evenly.

He assured artists that within the next period of months and years, the collection of artists’ loyalties is going to be smooth once they do what they’re required to do by registering their artistic creations.
