Ragga Dee and fellow Artists spearhead self-regulation in the music industry

Artists recently gained a bold motive towards professionalism and accountability under different associations and the Federations to improve their industry. Ragga Dee recently revealed that he and a group of fellow artists have come together to establish a small association aimed at self-regulating the music industry.

He explains that this initiative seeks to address common challenges faced by artists, including verifying promoters, regulating event service providers, and ensuring artists attend booked shows.

Artists have faced challenges where they are falsely booked in other districts say Gulu yet in actual sense they are not. We are looking at having that sorted such that artists are able to protect their brands from fraud.

The music industry has long been plagued by issues such as last-minute cancellations, double bookings, and unscrupulous promoters.

These challenges not only tarnish the reputation of artists but also undermine the trust between performers and their fans.

We have experienced some unfortunate incidents where artists don’t cone through to booked shows and fans vandalise property, we are looking at having an organised system where an artist, promoters and event organisers all benefit under mutual agreement.
