Singer Lilian Mbabazi is set to face legal action after she was dragged to the courts of law for failing to foot the Shs16.2m debt she accumulated as rent arrears.

The development came to light after the singer was slapped with a court summon that demanded her to foot the rent arrears.

The money accumulated after Lilian Mbabazi reportedly defaulted on paying rent for 18 months.

According to the last interview in which Lilian Mbabazi was accused of defaulting her rent arrears, the landlord noted that she began renting on 21st February 2018 at a fee of Ugx 1.5M per month and in the past, she used to pay on time.

Following the failure to settle her debt, the landlord decided to take legal action and has been given 10 days to respond to the court summons.

The last time Lilian talked to the media, she denied the allegations and now we wait to witness what next will result from the court summons.
