A look at some of the hottest new Ugandan songs released last week on YouTube featuring Vinka, 6 Killaz, Lucky Jo, and Acidic Vokoz, among others.
Bailando (Latin Urbano Remix) – Vinka fr. Rafa Pabon
Bailando was one of the biggest Ugandan songs of 2023. Vinka was also voted the best Ugandan female artist of 2023 at the Zzina Awards.
She then hit the studio with Puerto Rican singer Rafa Pabon to make the second remix of the song after the first one that featured Tanzania’s Phina.
It is a song for the party, it will definitely make you dance, and Rafa Pabon’s Caribbean flavor only adds fuel to the fire.
Party Mix/Mubiri Gwo – Lucky Jo
With his mind now fully focused on music after completing high school, rising star Lucky Jo plans to showcase his artistry in his new song ‘Party Mix’.
The dancehall song has already garnered thousands of views on different streaming sites and the visuals will surely add the much-required flavor to its promo.
Directed by Aaronaire, the video features Dancemamweta who adds the dancehall vibe to it with her choreography. Check it out:
Kukyakala Na Kubwa – 6 Killaz
Jeff Kiwa’s Team No Sleep management gathered six female artists to form a fresh and exciting group dubbed ‘6 Killaz.
Comprising Jowy Landa, Ava Peace, Nandor Love, Nina Roz, Zafaran, and Recho Rey, the 6 Killaz have already released a new song dubbed ‘Kukyakala Na Kubwa’.
It is a good vibe song that makes you want to dance. The hilarious nature of lyrics and composition have already attracted mixed opinions on social media. Check it out below:
Madam – Grenade Official
Despite appearing in the news for mostly controversial reasons in recent months, Grenade Official has stuck to releasing fresh music, the latest being ‘Madam’.
The visuals of the song shot by Grate Make Films seem to reveal the concept of the song about an employee in a secret romantic relationship with his boss – Madam.
The song was released just a few days after Grenade went public about his relationship with Sheilah Gashumba whom he claims always financed their outings while they dated.
It’s Okay – Acidic Vokoz
Acidic Vokoz has not only made a name for himself through his captivating vocals but also the emotions he invests in his music.
He is back with yet another love song titled ‘It’s Okay’ in which he sings about moving on from a heartbreak -But has moved on indeed?

Bonus: Omuzaire – Omega 256
In ‘Omuzaire’, Western Uganda’s finest Omega 256 sings about the love of parents. It is a song that will remind you to love your parents right.
Omega 256 dominated the airwaves in 2023 with her breakthrough hit single ‘This Year’. Can she reclaim her spot on the charts with this new song?
