Ugandan singer Shafik Dangote, popularly known as Fik Gaza, claims he is working on a collaboration with Nigerian music icon Davido.
David Adedeji Adeleke, famously known as Davido was in Uganda over the weekend for his ‘Timeless Concert which happened at Kololo Independence Grounds.
Several local artists performed on the same stage with the Nigerian artist including Grenade Official, Pia Pounds, and Fik Gaza, among others.
The Gaza Empire singer now claims that upon interacting with Davido, the “Unbelievable” singer requested a collaboration with him.
Fik Gaza claims that just like Jamaican singer Konshens, Davido asked that they jump on a song together which he gladly accepted.
I did accept to have a collabo with Davido. It’s he who requested a collabo. The song is actually already in the pipeline and he is working on his end. Just like Konshens asked for a collabo, he (Davido) also approached me for one.
Fik Gaza told Spark TV
Fik attributes his stardom to hard work and claims that the gates have finally opened up for him and he expects many other artists to request collaborations with him in the future.
“This means we are working hard and I am hopeful that many more will come flooding (requesting for collabos) soon,” he added.
