Cindy Sanyu expresses discontent with low-pay offers from Ugandan promoters

Renowned songstress Cindy Sanyu has minced no words in her criticism of Ugandan promoters who offer small compensation for performances.

In a recent video, Cindy expressed her frustration, stating that promoters shouldn’t extend invitations to perform if they cannot afford to pay her adequately.

Standing out among her contemporaries, Sanyu’s talent has propelled her to prominence, distinguishing her from both past and present artists she once collaborated with.

Sanyu has solidified her status as one of Uganda’s good-paid female musicians, although she often finds herself absent from concert lineups due to promoters failing to meet her financial expectations.

In response to recurrent low-pay offers, Sanyu revealed her frustration with the excuses made by promoters when negotiating compensation.

She emphasized that if promoters cannot meet her financial requirements, they should refrain from extending invitations until they can offer appropriate compensation, as she remains available for future opportunities.

Ugandan promoters have this trick they use when they want to give little money to an artiste. They usually way that it is not the right season and they don’t have enough money. Those who don’t have money shouldn’t invite me, they should wait until they have the money.
