Beenie Gunter thanks Bobi Wine and Crysto Panda for securing his release from Abu Dhabi prison

Renowned dancehall singer Crescent Baguma alias Bennie Gunter applauded singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine and Crysto Panda for playing a crucial role in setting him free from an Abu Dhabi prison where he had been detained.

It should be recalled that Beenie Gunter almost spent a month behind coolers in Abu Dhabi prison after he was arrested for allegedly being at the center of a fight that involved two Uganda event promoters in January.

The “Ntwaala” singer was then charged with cases related to violent conduct and vandalization of property and had to pay some fares to get him released from jail and be permitted to return to Uganda.

Based on Beenie Gunter’s explanations, states he was arrested for the wrong reasons as he maintains that he was never involved in any fighting saga as accused.

He maintained that he was only trying to separate the two promoters and their crews from exchanging punches following a misunderstanding that they had gotten.

He also vented his dismay with UNMF president Eddy Kenzo for not coming out to his rescue when he requested assistance as he heaped praise upon Bobi Wine and Crystop Panda for standing with him during the trying moment.

He then tasked Eddy Kenzo to always stand on his words with actions and not to take credit for someone else’s efforts reasoning that he never did anything to secure his release as he claimed.
