Celebrated video director and filmmaker Sasha Vybz, born Ian Akankwasa, is hopeful that Uganda could win her first-ever Oscars Award this very month.
Sasha Vybz made the prophecy through his X platform when he tweeted; “The 1st Oscar is coming home to Uganda this March. Watch!!!”.
His positive thought comes at a moment when Bobi Wine was invited to attend the British Academy Film Awards 2024 in London about a week ago.
In one of the ceremonies that Bobi Wine has been attending, he managed to win the “Audience Choice Award” at the Cinema Eye Honors 2024.
Based on how Bobi Wine has been rubbing shoulders with popular film stars and celebrities, Sasha Vybz is convinced that an Oscar Award will be touching base anytime this month.
The Oscar Awards 2024 ceremony night is set to take place on 11th March which will be a Monday in East Africa from 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
