Retired boxer Ayub Kalule has cried out to well-wishers and lovers of boxing sports discipline to reach out to him with aid to make ends meet.

The 70-year-old retired boxer made the plea to the public during an interview held on the UnCut Show on Sanyuka TV as he shared some of the challenges he is currently facing.

His caretaker stated that there are moments when Kalule falls sick and finds himself in a situation where he can’t afford money for treatment which becomes a challenging period to overcome.

She added that there are moments they face when they are financially constrained and face different adversities of life something not good for the former standout amateur boxer who enjoyed life during his youthful stage.

She adds that she had requested Ayub Kalule to plead to have his fellow boxers help him set up a gym at his residence so that he could coach amateur boxers and start to earn money to be able to afford a fair living and foot a few bills rather than begging all the time.

She added that Ayub Kalule had established some properties in Nairobi, Kenya, but when life became tough, he relocated back to Uganda with nothing and had to start life afresh.
