Recho Rey brags about being the sole female hip-hop artist in Uganda

Femecee Recho Rey, born Mirembe Racheal, bragged that she is the only genuine and certified female rapper (Hip Hop) artist in the Ugandan music industry.

Since rap music is all about bragging and dissing one another, Recho Rey could be right in her opinion. Still, her bragging comments have since elected mixed reactions amongst music critics and rap music lovers.

She claimed the bragging right as she was featured in an interview on Galaxy FM’s Bing Bang show which happens every last Friday of the month at the Kasanga-based radio station.

The 26-year-old rapper got some fans backing her point saying if anyone is doubting, they should bring on a better rapper than her or stage a battle and see who takes the crown. In contrast, others took a dig at her claiming that if she thinks Kampala is the whole of Uganda, she should try out visiting different regions and see how ladies are talented in rap music though they have yet to hit the limelight as she has done.

When asked to reveal who inspired her to do rap music, she was quick to disclose that she was inspired by American superstars including Drake, Lil Wayne, and Jay Z.
