Singer Lydia “Jazmine” Nabawanuka is optimistic that she will once land nominations in the Grammys and BET awards.
The LJ Music singer expressed the wish to land a nod in the Grammys or BET awards while stressing how Uganda is blessed with very many talented individuals in the music industry.
The “Njagala” singer went ahead to note that one of her dreams is to win Uganda a Grammy or BET award something she highly believes she can achieve.
She went ahead to disclose that she is positive that Ugandans can compete with the rest of the nations on an international level just as the Nigerians have dominated.
I believe Ugandans have talent though some obstacles have hindered us from getting to that point. I believe our music can cross borders, compete with the rest of Africa and internationally, and bag those prestigious awards.
I have dreams of winning Uganda Grammys and BET. At least even nominations and I know we can do it just like how the Nigerians have dominated the awards

Lydia Jazmine made the statements as she appeared on the Talk N Talk show as she explained several of the issues that she has so far faced in the music industry ever since joined.
She also confirmed that she chose to distance herself from Carol Nantongo because of certain reasons that she couldn’t bear being her close friend again.
