Eddy Kenzo’s music started gaining traction internationally years ago after his Sitya Loss hit song featuring the Triplets Ghetto Kids. However, it took some people by surprise.

One of those individuals was Keko. She expressed her shock, believing that Eddy Kenzo’s music was “too Ugandan” to appeal to a global audience.

However, it’s important to note that music has a universal language that can transcend cultural boundaries.

Eddy Kenzo’s music is undeniably infused with a unique Ugandan flavor.

It’s this authenticity and cultural richness that excites listeners worldwide and his ability to blend traditional Ugandan sounds with modern beats has created an infectious style that binds audiences from all walks of life winning him numerous national and international awards and a BET Award in 2015.

One of Eddy Kenzo’s breakthrough moments was releasing the “Sitya Loss” music video.

Keko thinks that this song’s video wasn’t up to international standards, and she solely argues that the video’s success only drew international attention because of the incredible dance moves of the Triplets Ghetto Kids, which took the world by storm.

You look at Eddy Kenzo. To me, personally, I was shocked that his music went international. Because his music is interesting but it has a bit of too much Ugandan touch, which is generally for the Ugandan market.
