Ailing singer Daudi Mugema is set to travel to Istanbul, Turkey to receive specialized treatment as he battles cancer that had put him down for a couple of days.
Recently, Daudi Mugema explained that he got cancer after he was forced to dip his legs in a basin that contained chemicals that treated him badly while being detained at Kireka safehouse for showing support to the 2016 strongest opposition presidential candidate, Dr. Kizza Besigye.
Ever since then, his life changed completely and he has been battling the illness that saw him stop working and focus on treating himself to get better.
Despite being told that his cancer was curable, it has not been the case on his side as he has battled the illness for years now.
Having cried out to the public seeking help, Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago chipped in and extended assistance to him by reaching out to the Ugandan Turkish Ambassador H.E FATIH AK to secure his travel schedule for specialized cancer treatment.
So, Daudi Mugema and his wife will jet out of the country to seek specialized treatment in Istanbul, Turkey.
This morning, our brother DAUDI MUGEMA and I have met with the Turkish Ambassador to Uganda, H.E FATIH AK at his office in Kololo. We would like to express our profound gratitude to my good friend, His Excellence Fatih for expediting the processes required for the transfer of our brother to Istanbul, Turkey for specialized treatment of his cancerous leg. I’m glad to note that all is now set for our brother to set off. More prayers needed
