Among the renowned Ugandan TikTokers is Winifred Babirye Nalukenge, popularly known as Ariana Ssebunya who boasts a big following on the TikTok app. Her journey in content creation was inspired by a fellow Ugandan content creator, Amito Mitra, whom she holds in high regard.
Beyond the dance challenges and comic skits on TikTok, Ariana Ssebunya’s lifestyle off the app has won her a few fans. Just recently, the Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga student dominated the gossip columns when she was gifted a new car before her UCE examinations.
The 19-year-old whose content creation journey only began in 2023 spoke to Mbu about her family, lifestyle, content creation, dreams, and so much more in this interview:
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of your professional life?
I enjoy listening to music and swimming.
Are there any personal milestones or achievements that hold a special place in your heart?
Having a car at 19.
What challenges you the most and how do you approach it?
Negative comments. l just block those people.

What advice would you give to aspiring individuals looking to pursue a career similar to yours?
I advise them to first focus on education. They should also pray, focus, and win.
Are there any specific skills or talents you are currently working on developing?
Yes, singing.

I am a principled person.

That’s my Mum, Mrs. Suzan Atim.
How do you handle conflicts or disagreements in a professional setting?
With silence. It always wins.

I hope to work with Holic Pads as the Brand Ambassador.
Can you share any self-care practices or routines that help you maintain balance and well-being?
I always have enough rest.
How do you involve your family and loved ones in your career without sacrificing their privacy?
I post my family members only on their special days like Birthdays and important ceremonies.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give to your younger self?
Not to speak recklessly during my TikTok live broadcasts.
Can you share a memorable fan encounter that left a lasting impact on you?
There is a 17-year-old fan who gifted me a laptop. That really left a lasting impact on me.
What are your long-term goals and aspirations, both personally and professionally?
I want to become a lawyer.
