Taylor Swift has been announced as the leading nominee for MTV’s 2024 Video Music Awards, collecting 10 nominations across a number of categories.

Post Malone follows close behind with nine nominations, while Sabrina Carpenter, Eminem, and Ariana Grande tied for third place among VMAs finalists, with six nominations each.

Other artists who received multiple nods include Olivia Rodrigo, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Anitta, GloRilla, and more. The VMAs will air live from UBS Arena on September 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

This marks the first time for the awards show to be based in this particular venue, as it was previously held at New Jersey’s Prudential Center. A host for the show has not yet been announced.

Taylor earned nods in the following categories: Video of the Year (for her Post Malone-assisted “Fortnight”), Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (also for “Fortnight”), Best Collaboration (once again for “Fortnight”), Best Pop, Best Direction (for the “Fortnight” video), Best Cinematography (“Fortnight”), Best Editing (“Fortnight”), Best Visual Effects (“Fortnight”), and Best Art Direction (“Fortnight”).

“Fortnight” is featured on Taylor’s highly anticipated 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. In typical Taylor fashion, the album came alongside a massive surprise.

The album was originally released as a 16 track album, before Taylor unveiled that the album is, in fact, a 31 track double album.
