Swangz Avenue celebrated the release of its highly-anticipated #SwangzAllStarAlbum last night with an unforgettable event at Kampala’s newest hotspot, Nonivie. Celebrities, industry icons, media personalities, and fans gathered to honor the star-studded album, which brings together some of East Africa’s finest talent.
The event boasted a glamorous guest list, featuring Ugandan music heavyweights like Bebe Cool, Iryn Namubiru, Maro, Karole Kasita, The Mith, Grenade, and prominent radio and TV personalities.
The Swangz Avenue family was represented by their standout artists, including Azawi, Vinka, Zafaran, Zagazillions, Elijah Kitaka, Winnie Nwagi, and Double Black.
Collaborating artists John Blaq, Ava Peace, and A Pass also attended, while album producers Nessim, Steven Keys (mixing and sound engineer), and Andrew Ahuurra (immersive mixing engineer) shared insights into the making of the album.
The night began with a black carpet experience, where DJs, including Swangz Avenue’s own Eyo Marcus, set the mood with an expertly curated soundtrack.
Guests were interviewed about their excitement for the album and enjoyed cocktails by Jameson and an array of delicious snacks.
Hosts Sammy Wetala and Eyo Marcus engaged attendees with Swangz Avenue-themed trivia, awarding exclusive gift hampers and tickets to the highly anticipated Dexta Daps concert on December 14.
The official listening session, led by Benon Mugumbya, began at 9:30 pm, with each track played in the album’s original order.
Guests immersed themselves in the rich, collaborative sound of Swangz Avenue, with opportunities to engage directly with the artists and producers.
The 16-track album resonated with the audience, and standout songs of the night included “Wanika Bendela” by Vinka, John Blaq, and Elijah Kitaka, “Mary Jane”by Winnie Nwagi, Azawi, and Zagazillions, and “Red Flag” by Vinka and Azawi.

The event concluded with an exclusive behind-the-scenes video that captured the journey from Zanzibar’s creative recording sessions back to the Swangz Avenue studios in Uganda.
