Galaxy A54 5G First Look: Samsung Has A New Budget Phone
The Galaxy A54 has a new design, larger pixel camera, and a new processor. It launches on April 6th and starts at $450, putting it in direct competition with Google’s Pixel 6a. Samsung aims to provide premium phone features at a more affordable price point. We will have to spend more time with it before we know if Samsung achieves that goal, but here’s an early look at the device:
- 6.4 inch screen with 120 hertz refresh rate
- 64 megapixel camera with a 5 megapixel macro camera
- Newer processor called the Exynos 1380
It remains to be seen if the new processor actually results in improved performance. Additionally, there is a chance that Google could release the Pixel 7a soon which could also be a competitor. Only prolonged use will determine which phone is the better buy.
