National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) is on target to deliver the Kyankwanzi Water Supply Project, we can confirm.
Project Scope: package 1
•Construction of Raw Water Booster station at Mayanja River, staff quarters, water sump, generator shed,septic tank and soak pit.
Package 2
• Construction of a water treatment plant in Akaapa village where all civil works and electromechanical installations are complete
Package 3
•Construction of a Treated Water pipeline from Akaapa to Lusozi. All the necessary pipes were delivered and connected to the reservoir tank.
Package 4
•Construction of 300,000ltrs water reservoir at Lusozi Hill.
Overall progress- 100% done with water tightness test completed.
Water treatment plant works
Works for an Aerator, coagulation & flocculator,chemical dozing structures,rapid sand filters,clear water tank,laboratory, office ,store,backwash tank and clarifier and all other civil works have been completed.
All is being done to deliver the water Project by September 2024.
