Ugandan Poet, Rapper, and Spoken Word artist Good Gordons Mugoda, popularly known as Wake 256’s poem was published on the staircase of the Global Health Centre in Geneva, Switzerland.
GAVI, officially Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance is a public-private global health partnership to increase access to immunization in poor countries.
Gavi supports vaccines against 20 infectious diseases, including COVID-19, Ebola, malaria, and rabies.
To celebrate the power of vaccines and their global impact, Gavi commissioned spoken word artists worldwide to compose original poetry on immunization.
Wake 256’s poem “Rails Of Hope” was selected by Gavi and featured on the staircase of the Global Health Centre in Geneva, Switzerland.

The rapper shared the good news with his followers via X as he thanked Gavi for the opportunity.
