Songwriter Dokta Brain reveals how he intentionally swapped Beera Nange and Sabula between Sheebah Karungi and Fille Mutoni, a move that turned out to be a “blessing in disguise.”
Dokta Brain shared that Sheebah’s hit song Beera Nange was originally intended for Fille, while Fille’s Sabula was initially crafted for Sheebah.
However, he decided to make a switch and gave each artist the other’s song.
I wrote Beera Nange aiming to give it to Fille and Sabula aiming to give it to Sheebah, but I intentionally switched them. It was a mistake that turned into a blessing.
The decision was driven by a strategic vision for both artists’ musical journeys. At the time, Fille lacked a dancehall vibe in her music catalog, while Sheebah had not explored the softer, more emotional sound that Beera Nange offered.
Fille didn’t have a dancehall song, and Sheebah didn’t have a calm, sweet-like song, so I made the decision.
