The National Drug Authority (NDA) has carried out an intelligence led-operation targeting unlawful possession of classified drugs in unauthorized residence located at Katongole’s apartments inNamugoona-Kasubi, Kampala District.
During the operation, the suspect was found in possession of 25 boxes of classified drugs, some marked “Government of Uganda Not for Sale” including anti-malarials, ARVs worth over 9,000,000= (Nine million) Uganda shillings.
The operation led to arrest of a one Mwesigye Aaron Michaelwho is currently in police custody for further investigation and legal action.
NDA advises all unlicensed operators to immediately cease operations and comply with the legal requirements to sale medicines and healthcare products in Uganda.
