Some people opt for the happy hour glass-bottom pontoon boat tours around the bay or a ride on one of those bouncing banana boats that seem like a great idea until your aunt falls off right away and the coast guard has to come save her.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom clearly took the easy way out on a recent vacation, where, according to Perry’s Instagram feed, they spent a leisurely afternoon jumping out of a helicopter into the ocean. You heard that right. On Monday (August 12), Perry posted photos and video of the engaged couple getting hyped before leaping out of the chopper into the sea. Perry soundtracked the clip with a her current single, “Lifetimes,” and captioned it with a few lines from the dance banger whose Ibiza-shot video has a similarly beach-y, endless summer vacation theme.

“Like the stars are in the sky/ You and I will find each other / In every single life,” Perry wrote in the caption to the heli-hop post.

Perry recently revealed the track list for her upcoming 11-track 143 album (Sept. 20), which will feature “Lifetimes” and previous single, “Woman’s World,” as well as: “I’m His He’s Mine,” “Crush,” “Nirvana,” “All the Love,” “Truth” and “Wonder,” as well as three songs with as-yet-undisclosed features, “Gorgeous,” “Gimme Gimme” and “Artificial.”

The couple, who’ve dated since 2016 and got engaged in 2019, share three-year-old daughter Daisy Dove. The dive was not super surprising for Bloom, who risked life and limb in his recent Peacock series, Orlando Bloom: To The Edge, in which he went for a wingsuit flight, did a lung-busting free dive in the Bahamas and climb to the top of a 400-foot tower in Utah to stand on a tiny platform.
