National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) was thrilled to host a delegation from Sinopec International Petroleum Service Co. (Uganda) Limited at their Katosi Drinking Water Treatment Plant (DWTP).
The team visited to gain insights for their upcoming Lake Water Abstraction project in Buliisa, along Lake Albert.
During the visit, Sinopec’s representatives explored the innovative intake systems and environmentally friendly technologies. They were particularly impressed by NWSC offshore pumps, which align with NEMA’s noise standards—a crucial factor for their project in the sensitive Albertine region.
The knowledge exchanged will help Sinopec design and operate their project with both efficiency and environmental stewardship in mind.
