The State Minister for Relief, Refugees and Disaster Preparedness who also doubles as Kitgum District Woman MP Hon. Lillian Aber has visited her people in the Village SACCOs of Labongo Amida Sub County, Kitgum District.
During the meeting, Hon. Lillian handled domestic violence issues, saving culture, health, education, agriculture among others.
The people present pledged their commitment to support government initiatives aimed at benefiting grassroots people like PDM and GROW.
She encouraged them to take full advantage of these opportunities and fight against poverty which has increased domestic violence.
Additionally, she extended financial support to six SACCO groups to boost their income and also strengthen their savings.
She also told people to avoid domestic violence which in most cases led to loss of lives.
