Faiza Salima shared a reflection on her body image struggles, revealing that her biggest insecurity has been her weight, an issue she has had to deal with since her teenage years.
She highlighted how her time behind bars unexpectedly impacted her self-perception.
She explained that her body image fluctuates, with some days feeling content with how she looks, while on others, she feels she carries “a bit too much weight.”
Faiza’s experience in prison resulted from her involvement in the #March2Parliament protests last month.
She, along with others, was arrested and spent a week in detention. Despite the challenging circumstances, Faiza found a silver lining in her weight loss, a small victory in her ongoing battle with body insecurity.
