Tony Houls, the mastermind behind some of Bobi Wine’s most popular songs, has settled in the UK in pursuit of new opportunities.
He’s the brain behind producing tracks such as Abalungi Balumya, Ghetto, Nyimbira Kabaka Wange, and Mr. Katala, Tony Houls (real name Tony Bikumbi) has been an essential figure in the Ugandan music scene, particularly within Bobi Wine’s Firebase Crew.
Last year, Tony Houls accompanied Bobi Wine to the UK for a show, but unlike the artist, he chose not to return to Uganda.
Instead, he decided to start a new chapter abroad. Sources reveal that Tony has been engaging in various jobs to establish himself while also continuing his passion for music.
In the UK, Tony has joined a network of Ugandan musicians who have also relocated, forming a band that performs in bars and other venues.
The band has become a popular choice for Ugandan artists who travel to London for performances, as they often hire Tony and his band for live shows. This allows Tony to stay connected to Ugandan music while building a new career in the diaspora.
