Bobi Wine's documentary wins Political Film of the Year at Cinema for Peace Awards

The documentary Bobi Wine: The People’s President, owned by musician-turned-political activist Bobi Wine was honoured with the Dove for The Political Film of the Year by Cinema For Peace Foundation in Berlin, Germany.

Cinema For Peace is a foundation that aims at promoting peace and humanity through cinematic arts. The ceremony usually attracts influential people and among the attendees was the former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and our own, Bobi Wine.

Since 2002, the awards have recognized exceptional filmmakers and celebrated films that address humanitarian and environmental issues.

During this year’s ceremony on Monday, February 19, 2024, Bobi Wine and other filmmakers were honored with awards.

Bobi Wine dedicated the award to all the political prisoners in Uganda and every Ugandan out there striving for a better Uganda.
