Lil Pazo has shared his concerns over what he describes as the growing disconnect between fans and educative music in Uganda.
The artist says that strict content regulation by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) could leave many musicians in poverty if they are not allowed to perform the kind of music their audiences demand.
Lil Pazo revealed that his experience with fans has shown a clear preference for simple and entertaining songs rather than those aimed at education.
He claims listeners often tell him they have grown tired of overly educative music.
If you want to ban my music, start with understanding my audience. Have you seen me sing at Seeta High School or at Fresh Kid’s concert for the kids? My audience is for mature people, and I perform at night. My music goes through their phones, and they pick the songs themselves.
He argued that the most successful artists today are those who cater to audience preferences. Lil Pazo referenced to Gravity Omutujju as an example, noting that Gravity is currently one of the most booked musicians in Uganda due to his ability to connect with fans through his chosen style.
According to Lil Pazo, the demand for entertainment over education in music is a reality artists must adapt to if they are to thrive.
He urged stakeholders to understand this dynamic instead of imposing restrictions that could stifle the industry.

State Minister for Minerals, Phiona Nyamutoro, has revealed the romantic and bold gesture that kickstarted her relationship with Eddy Kenzo.
Speaking during the #RiotYouth2024 conference at Pastor Kanyanja’s church yesterday, Phiona shared the story of how Kenzo told her he wanted to marry her the very first day they met.
Imagine by that time, I wasn’t yet a minister, I wasn’t yet an MP. I don’t know whether he was such a risk-taker that he would just tell somebody he barely knows that he wants to marry them. And confidently, he said he had never asked any woman to marry him.
Phiona acknowledged that their union was part of God’s plan and expressed optimism about building their marriage to last forever.
Eddy Kenzo and Phiona are now officially engaged and share a son together.
Phiona Nyamutoro, the State Minister in charge of Minerals, shared insights into her relationship with Eddy Kenzo, revealing that she initially didn’t know who he was despite his fame.
Phiona revealed that when she first met Eddy, she didn’t recognize him as the superstar he is.
I met an ordinary guy called Eddy, and we became friends. One thing led to another, and now we are here.
Phiona admitted she initially didn’t understand why or how their paths crossed but now believes their union was divinely orchestrated.
I didn’t know who Eddy Kenzo was, even though he’s a celebrated artist and popular in Uganda. But I believe it was God’s plan. I’m exactly the type of woman Eddy prayed for, especially considering his past.
The minister also mentioned the uniqueness of their pairing, noting that their different worlds could have made their relationship unlikely.
Ordinarily, it is unbecoming of a girl in my career to end up with a guy in his career. But even in his career, Eddy isn’t ordinary.
She added that even her pastors recognized something special about Kenzo.
They told me the grace on Eddy is so evident that you can’t deny it. Eddy Kenzo prayed to God for a woman exactly like me.
Spice Diana has opened up about her thoughts on tattoos, revealing why she has chosen to keep her body ink-free.
The “Siri Regular” singer shared that she can’t imagine herself with tattoos as she ages.
I think about myself at 50, maybe as a grandmother, and I have tattoos all over my body. It’s not something I would feel comfortable with.
Spice Diana says that her decision is rooted in her preference for maintaining her natural look. She believes simplicity complements her style and personality.
When asked if she would date someone with tattoos, Spice Diana said it would depend on the extent of the tattoos.
If the tattoos are simple and not all over the body, then maybe. But if it’s too much, it’s not something I would prefer.
