Pastor Wilson Bugembe, the Worship House Church leader, has over the years been hosting most of Uganda’s top and high-profile celebrities at his church, especially during the Sunday services.

Most of his followers have probably questioned why celebrities visit his church often.

Appearing in an interview, he addressed the matter as to why most of the secular celebrities comfortably enjoy worshiping from his church.

He stressed that it is simply because he has shown them love, welcomed them to the Church without judgment, and made them feel at home.

The reason why celebrities come to my Church is simply love. Loving people draws them close to you and the way how you treat them. That is why many people visit their parents in the villages just because of love.

Pastor Bugembe adds that whenever a celebrity visits the Church, he/she sends awareness amongst his/her followers about the importance of praying and giving thanks to their creator.

I have even realized that when someone visits Church, it is a sign that he/she has directed those close to him/her where they can find peace despite the challenges they face in life. So when you see celebrities going to church just motivate them the more.

Singer Joan Namugerwa alias Jowy Landa, has pleaded to Gen. Salim Saleh, real name Caleb Akandwanaho, for financial support to aid in the treatment of her hospitalized brother.

While sharing her brother’s health update, Jowy Landa disclosed that he has so far spent five months bedridden and unable to move any of his body parts.

She disclosed that her brother was beaten in a fight with friends and he blacked out.

Jowy explained that since he was bedridden, she has had to spend about Shs1m per day in the ICU for his medical treatment which has become too much being the breadwinner at her home.

She has since requested Gen. Salim Saleh to come to her assistance so that he can help her foot the hospital bills so her brother can recover and get back on his feet.

The Team No Sleep affiliate added that she had to spend all her savings on his treatment but the improvements are too slow as the only thing he can do at the moment is eye movement.

My brother has spent five months on the hospital bed, he is unable to do anything on his own. I reached a moment when I was too stressed and couldn’t release new music anymore. I have had to pay Shs1m almost every day for ICU.

I had to spend all my savings on his treatment because I am the breadwinner at home. He was involved in a fight with his friends and was beaten until he blacked out. I pray he recovers soon because he only opens his eyes but can’t move any of his body parts.
