There is a significant match in the relegation battle on Monday when Everton goes to Leicester. Former Manchester City defender, Nato Manure, gave his opinion alongside journalists Julian Lorenz.
Nato Manure: I saw a big game midweek. I enjoyed that. It was a pretty big game, wasn’t it? How decisive will that result for Manchester City be in the title race?
Manchester City: I think there’s no shame in losing against the team that is better than you, and City was certainly much better than Arsenal on the night. It was disappointing, maybe, that Arsenal didn’t really turn up, and that’s probably partly because of City playing so well, which is true.
Everton: If they win their five games left, it’s 90 points. What more can you do at that point? That’s your marker, maybe, when you’re Premier League champions. Who knows? Was it surprising just to see the difference in quality in that game?
Everton goes to Leicester on Monday in the battle for the relegation places. The club has lost its last six Premier League matches and has won just one of its last seven Premier League games. They are currently 19th in the league and haven’t won their last five Premier League away games.
Previous Premier League Titles
- Everton won the Premier League title in 2010
- The Everton team won the FA Cup in that season
- The Premier League title in 2011/12 was won by the Everton team who finished second in the table
- The title was also won in the Champions League in the same season
There have been ten matches across a few days this week. Frank Lampard says West City press could not compete with the West City press. The West London side is now in the driving seat in the Premier League title race. Lampard believes Arsenal is exceptional for the way they play, and the former England captain says he was going to finish sixth or seventh in the league. The Arsenal vs Chelsea clash is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28, at 7:45 pm.
It might feel after Wednesday night’s result for Arsenal that it’s over in terms of the title race, but it isn’t. Michael Arteta said that after the game, “we still have five games left, and he’s absolutely right. Anything can happen; it’s mathematically still possible in Adam.” Arsenal needs to make sure that they’re ready as well, but the downside for them is they’re not in the best form at this moment in time.
Why has it all gone in these last few games for us North Angels? It’s a good question. There is a lot to talk about Saliba, which I agree with, but they were considering goals before he got injured too. Still, I thought today they were, and then you have to keep fighting for the turn. Well, it might feel like it’s been a good run of games for Arsenal, but it’s not, and I thought they were good today. The team has to be motivated, but at the same time, they have to stay motivated, but there’s a lot on it even though people got there’s not much on it for you. You’re not going to get in Europe, but you’ve got to be individually motivated, and I think today they are.
Arsenal Struggle in Premier League
Arsenal has had a tough time in the Premier League this season, conceding 10 goals in their last five games. Julian’s absence has made a difference in how other teams approach them. Arsenal has a set play style and everyone knows their roles, making it hard to adjust. Rob Holding’s absence has also affected the team. Arsenal faces West Ham in the FA Cup final on Sunday.

Arsenal has to play Manchester United, Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Chelsea between now and the end of the season. It’s possible they may only get six out of those 18 points. The whole team seems dysfunctional, from the manager to the ownership to the dressing room. This could be damaging for Frank Lampard’s future as a manager if he goes the rest of this season without winning a game. He has only won one out of the last 18 Premier League matches.
