Nigerian teenage singer Qing Madi has expressed her gratitude to Ugandans for making her dreams a reality.
The young artist recently headlined a concert in Uganda, marking her first-ever performance outside Nigeria.
The concert, which was a success, holds a special place in the singer’s heart.
In her social media post, Qing Madi shared how meaningful this experience was for her. Despite facing discouragement from people who doubted the success of the concert, she chose to trust her instincts and follow her passion.
Critics pointed out that she had only been in the music industry for a year and argued that the concert tickets were overpriced. Despite these concerns, Qing Madi took the bold step to proceed with the performance, and the turnout proved her doubters wrong.
I had my first concert in Uganda.. the most special day of my musical life so many people discouraged me and said a lot about how it’s too early, how I have only been in the industry for a year plus and how the tickets were overpriced. So many even said no one would attend my concert. But I only listened to what GOD ALMIGHTY said and he approved of it.
It goes without saying that Uganda turned up for me and they showed me true love, one that I will never forget. This would forever be embedded in my soul #pearlofafrica
