His Majesty the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV together with Rt. hon. Rebecca Kadaga, successfully lobbied for industrial machines to support local organizations in Busoga region.

These machines will help to improve on the standards of living to the locals and the quality of the products produced.

The Women Integrated and Empowerment Group in Buwenda received a button-making machine, while ROHO Uganda was donated with complete sets of soap and sanitary pads making machines.

These industrial machines were donated by the Turkish Embassy of Uganda through TIKA Uganda to the respective organizations.

Hon. Hellen Olga Namutamba, the Minister of Tourism and Heritage in Busoga on behalf of the Kyabazinga and maama Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga led the Turkish Embassy and TIKA Uganda representatives to deliver the donated machines to the respective organisations.

In her speech, Minister Hellen expressed deep gratitude to the Kyabazinga of Busoga and Maama Kadaga, for their unwavering commitment to following up on the proposals submitted to the Turkish Embassy.

“We have been buying hampers, sanitary pads, soap, etc.  for the queens to donate to the students, but now ROHO Uganda will be offering us those items to donate to the girls in the schools,” she remarked.

A heartfelt thank you to the Turkish Ambassador to Uganda is His Excellency Mehmet Fatih Ak and the Country Coordinator TIKA Uganda Mr. Omer Aykon for responding to our requests and helping us empower our communities.
