The year 2024 has marked the rise of some artists who had vanished off the music charts including Lil Pazo, Recho Rey, Da Agent, and Rickman Manrick.
Lil Pazo went on to hold successful concert, thanks to his hit jam “Enkudi” that dominated the charts for months.
On the other hand, fresh talents also arose and ruled over including Acidic Vokoz, Ava Peace, and Nandor Love, among others.
In this article we take a look at some of the promising stars to keep a keen eye on in 2025 based on their relentless efforts and outstanding talent:
- Kapeke
Born Derrick Nsubuga, Kapeke gained the attention of the fans after the release of his collaboration with Rickman dubbed “Swiririri”. He followed it up with songs such as “Akasanyalaze“, “Shuu“, and “Polokoto”.
With the success of the above-mentioned songs, we believe he has stood shoulders above the rest of the rising stars and his creative juices will continue flowing in 2025.
- JPC Again
Botanically known as John Chris Kasajja, JPC Again’s lyrical delivery and composition standout. He is a star in the making and those who have had the chance to pay attention to his music can testify to it.
His songs; “Broke As I am“, “Quickie” feat. Kin Bella, “Missonary”, “Money Not Love” and “Sugar Mama” are top notch.
The industry is in still in safe hands with these rising talents, thanks to Producer Uncle behind his projects. Give your ears, again!
- Laty Wizy
Legally known as Latif Birinda, Laty Wizy is one of the many rising RnB singers that Ugandans should pay attention to.
His smooth silky voice on songs like “Edalu“, “Tula Awo“, “Nsobi“, “Babiri“, and “Hello” has won over many fans.
He gives credit to Carol Nantongo for supporting him through his young musical journey and the hustles, for him, continues.
- Pretty Banks
Her approach to music is really fascinating since she can perform different genres – VERSATILE! Her captivating single “Insido” left a lasting impression on her musical journey this year.
She has since dropped more songs including “Meant To BE”and “Don’t Touch Me”. Her old jams such as “Kuwooma”, “Bakunsimemu”, “Bakundekere” were also re-awoken and the public came to know what she got in her tank.
D-Star
Known for his famous track “Hoozambe” that took the nation by surprise and followed it with “Jane”, if D-Star works harder next year, he could capitalise on the already established musical foundation.
We hope the mentioned artists will give us a spectacular 2025.
