A large mass of floating vegetation has emerged, clogging Pakwach Bridge and blocking water flow at this point. This vegetation is uprooted upstream by strong currents and is carried into the River Nile whenever water levels rise.
Our teams are currently mobilizing specialized equipment, including an aquatic dredger, to intervene and prevent potential damage to the bridge and mitigate possible transportation challenges along Pakwach Bridge.
