Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has shared his experience during his time at Luzira Prison.

Reflecting on his time there, Alien Skin revealed that he adapted well to the prison environment, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor throughout his stay.

Having some prior knowledge of how prisons operate, Alien Skin said he made a conscious effort to drop his celebrity persona and follow the rules.

Despite being recognized by some prison guards and inmates as a public figure, he remained grounded and respectful.

“When they approached me as fans, I didn’t act any differently. I just followed the rules.”

Even during moments like getting his hair trimmed by the guards, he stayed calm and cooperative.

Initially, Alien Skin kept to himself in his ward. However, he was later joined by a friend, and together, they adapted to the prison routine, finding a sense of normalcy.

He also noted that the prison was equipped with television screens, which kept him informed about events happening outside.

While he described his overall experience as manageable, Alien Skin expressed deep sadness over missing his friend’s funeral during his time in Luzira.

“That was painful for me,” he admitted, reflecting on the emotional toll of being unable to say goodbye to a loved one.
