Alien Skin real names Patrick Mulwana, has announced his intention to convert to Islam.

This revelation came shortly after his release from Luzira Prison, where he had been held on charges of assaulting doctors at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

Speaking to an excited crowd of fans and reporters on Thursday, the 30-year-old artist revealed his plan to give his Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith) at Old Kampala Mosque.

We have an arrangement, the other day you saw me in court with a (Kufi) hat. Indeed, soon I am going to Old Kampala to give my Shahada.

He also promised to explain his reasons for the spiritual transformation on the day of his conversion.

This announcement follows a troubling period in the Fangone Forest boss’s life, marked by his legal troubles and subsequent release on bail by the Makindye Magistrates Court today.
